Saturday, June 02, 2012, Picnic on 5th Feb, 2012
Every year Aryan family meets for a full day gathering to exchange words and a piece of their lives. This year (2012) this event took place on 5th February 2012 in the picnic spot of Tata Sponge Iron Plant. It was attended by all employees with families from both the mines (Narayanposhi & Mahulsukha) as well as employees from Corporate office. It goes without saying the place matched with the cheers of all present. The food arrangement was praiseworthy. A number of games kept up the spirits and the fun ended on a happy note.

Sunday, January 23, 2011, New year Picnic arranged
On 23rd January 2011 at Koira people from the Mines and Corporate Office met for a day long Picnic. It was a memorable event which was very well planned and coordinated by our Mines colleagues.
This was the first time when most of the employees from Aryan were together having an excellent time.
A wonderful waterfall, a pollution-free environment near a mining area was a treat to the eyes. It was an unforgettable experience with co workers and family members which can be cherished for lifetime.

Monday, May 24, 2010, Group Vocational Training Centre Inaugurated
Training in a newly renovated Group Vocational Training Centre (VTC) was started at Koira camp of ARYAN from April, 2010. This VTC will train Company’s employees as well contractors’ labour engaged in mining activity at Narayanposhi and Mahulsukha mines. The main focus of the training in VTC will be imparting knowledge on mines operation and different safety practices to be followed while on job. This will help in making the employees aware of the risks, dangers and hazards of operation to minimise accident which may happen due to lack of knowledge. Apart from this training, other soft skills to workers and executives are being imparted by internal faculty. Regular classes are being taken now by experienced executives of the company.

Wednesday, January 27, 2010, Distribution of school accessories to students
As a part our continuing efforts to provide facilities to local people, School bags and other accessories were distributed by Aryan to all the students of Aryan Primary school in the Koira village at a function which was presided over by Ms Sanghya Naik, Sarpanch of Koira. Mr. J. Dehuri, Ex-MLA and senior officers of the Company were present on the occasion. Similar accessories were also provided to all the students of other schools in the nearing villages numbering around 400.

To augment facility for better education, a Personal Computer was donated to the computer lab of DAV Public School, Tensa on by ARYAN. Mr. P. Dhal, Principal of the school thanked the Management for the noble activity. Teachers and students of the school had an interaction with the senior officers of the Company.

Tuesday, January 26, 2010, REPUBLIC DAY CELEBRATION
Republic day was celebrated in the ARYAN campus on 26th January, 2010 with enthusiasm. Mr. R. S. Garbyal, Vice President (Mining) hoisted the National flag and spoke on the occasion about the importance of Republic Day and our duties as citizen of the largest democracy in the world. Mr. H. M. Panigrahi, Chief General Manager (Mines) also addressed on the occasion. Employees, school staff and students, local villagers participated in large numbers in the programme. Snacks were distributed at the end of the programme to all present.
In another function held at Aryan Primary School, Koira , National flag was hoisted by Mr.Samarendra Patnaik, Dy.GM (P &A). He addressed the students of the school emphasizing on importance of education and significance of celebration of Republic day. National anthem was sung by the students and sweets were distributed by ARYAN.

Girls of Sundargarh district are very good in outdoor sports. In order to encourage the girls of Koira village who had formed a football team, sports kits including shoes were distributed by ARYAN on 25th January, 2010.

Friday, January 15, 2010, Inaguaration of community centre at Harischandrapur
The Community Centre which was constructed by Aryan for use of villagers of Harishchandrapur near Narayanposhi mines was inaugurated by Mr. B.S.Mishra , Additional Block Development Officer (ABDO), Koira Block on 15th January 2010 in a simple function. Ms.Sandhya Naik, Sarpanch, Koira, Local leader Mr.J.Dehuri, Senior executives of the Company and villagers attended the function. The key of the centre was handed over to the villagers by the ABDO. Apart from the guests Mr.H.M.Panigrahi, CGM spoke on the occasion and Mr.Samarendra Patnaik, Dy.GM (P & A) conducted the programme. The villagers thanked the Management for donating the building to the community. The Community Centre will help the villagers in improving their quality of life.

Sunday, January 10, 2010, Celebration of Annual Mines Environment & Mineral Conservation Week
The 12th Annual Mines Environment & Mineral Conservation Week (MEMC) organized by Indian Bureau of Mines IBM), Bhubaneswar Region was celebrated in different mines in Orissa from 4th to 10th January, 2010. Inspection of Narayanposhi mines and Mahulsukha mines of Aryan was done on 5th and 9th January, 2010 respectively by a visiting team nominated by IBM. As part of the publicity and propaganda programme stalls with displays, posters and slogans were made. Poster competition, slogan competition, quiz contest among students and employees were conducted and prizes were distributed. A play scripted by Mr.Santosh Debata, Mechanical Engineer on benefits of environment protection was enacted by the employees which was appreciated by everyone present.
Aryan bagged Second prize for publicity and propaganda in Narayanposhi mines and Second prize for afforestation in Mahulsukha mines In the category of ‘Other Than Fully Mechanised Iron/Iron & Manganese/Manganese Mines of Sundargarh district. Beautiful glass trophies were received by Mr.H.M.Panigrahi, CGM (Mines), Mr.D.Patel, AGM (Mines) and Mr.Abhishek Panda Asst. Manager (Mines) on the behalf of the company given by Mr.C.S.Gundewar, Controller General, , IBM, Dr.Ashok Dalwai, Commissioner-cum-Secretary, Department of Steel & Mines, Government of Orissa and Mr.R.L.Mohanty, President, Eastern Zone Mining Association on 17th January, 2010 organised by IBM, Bhubaneswar Region in a glittering function at Bhubaneswar.

Thursday, January 07, 2010, Water Project at Mahulsukha Mines
There was acute shortage of water faced by about 450 villagers who stay near our Mahulshukah Mn Ore mines. To solve this problem, a unique water conservation and distribution system for providing water to villagers of Bhutura village has been conceived and implemented by Aryan in June, 2010. Water flowing from a natural stream is being stored in a reservoir constructed near the source and from there it is pumped to a water tanker atop the hill. From there it is distributed to the village through 7 water taps set up at different points throughout the village. This unique project, which is not only aimed at conservation of natural resource, has also changed the life of nearby villagers and can be seen as a model to be replicated elsewhere.

Thursday, December 31, 2009, Celebration of New Year Eve by employees of Aryan Housing Colony
New year eve to bid farewell to 2009 and welcome 2010 was celebrated by the employees and their family members residing at the Aryan Colony was celebrated on 31st, December, 2009 in the colony. There was a lot of fun and enjoinment for the members with lot of games, singing and dancing and sumptuous dinner. At midnight a cake was cut and new year wishes were exchanged. Ladies and children of the colony participated in all the events and enjoyed the evening.

A workshop on ‘Explosion and Blasting Technique by use of SME/SMS’ was conducted by Aryan at its campus at Koira on 22nd December, 2009. Mr.Rajesh Sharma, Mr.U.S.Jaiswal, Mr.Sanjay Kumar and Mr.S.K.Singh of Gulf Oil Corporation Ltd. were the faculty members. There were 17 participants including senior executives of the company,. The programme was very informative and the deliberation was simple which made understanding very easy.

Sunday, November 08, 2009, Mines Safety Week prize distribution celebration celebrated
Our mines have done reasonably good in the recently concluded safety week celebrations. The 47th Safety week Celebration was organized by Directorate of Mines Safety, Chaibasa region. The final day function was held at Kiriburu SAIL mines on 8th November 2009 which was presided over by Mr S J Sibal, DGMS as the chief guest.
